Salted Fish Pao (咸鱼包)

。。。 LoL *

If you watch a Hong Kong drama called "Gilded Chopsticks" (“食为奴”), then you know the script that I'm talking about. Recently facebook is crowded with the salted fish pao's recipe,  it's the trend now. Why not I do and have a try and see how tasty it is, I've seen the 'king' enjoying the pao very much as if it's super delicious. *tempting* looking at how he eats....yummy....

My friend said it's very hard to do this as her friend failed it, hmm...somehow mine consider successful, why don't you have a try, maybe yours is better then mine. :)

This is what we basically needs:  -

Ingredients A:                                                             包皮:
All purposed flour / tepung gandum 200g               面粉 200g

Leeks 1 tps

1) Soy Sauce 3 tps
2) A little bit of pepper
3) Sesame Oil 3 tps
4) Huadiao wine  2tps

1) Pour boiling water into flour. Combine all. Add in cold water and knead into dough. Rest for 30min in fridge.  / 1)

2) Fried the salted fish until golden crispy and mixed evenly with ingredient B & ingredient C /

3) Divide rested dough into 35-40g pieces. Roll dough into thin round disk with rolling pin. Place about a tbsp. of filling and seal the bun. Pour about 2tbsp cooking oil into wok. Place the salted fish bun in the wok. Adjust the heat to medium heat. Add in 1tbsp water, pan fry both side till golden (till water is all dried up)/ 面团切小块,包入肉馅,要把口封好,不然煎时肉汁会流失。

This post is highly requested by my friends, was busy recently and only have time to post it today. I have tried it on Sunday, it is very nice and delicious. You have to eat it while it's hot, it's more tastier and I gave 5 to my sister and 4 to my friend. My friend said it's super nice and she promote it to my other friends and now they're ordering this from me.... LoL, can  you imagine that. Don't get me wrong ya, I DO NOT SELL salted fish pao ya, I just make for fun and for my family to taste.

I hope you'll enjoy the recipe! Have fun!!

Korea Vermicelli Noodle - JapChe

There's a Korea Fair in One Utama yesterday, saw this vermicelli noodle and I bought two pack home to cook as I like this noodle very much.

So I did my own JapChe, adding in the ingredients I like including seaweed (normally JapChe doesn't come with seaweed).

Korea Vermicelli Noodle - JapChe
Ingredient
1) Onion
2) Carrot
3) Garlic
4) Mushroom
5) Red Chilly
6) Egg
7) Minced Meat
8) Seaweed (optional)

Seasoning
1) Soya Sauce
2) Sesame Oil
3) Black Pepper
4) Sugar

Here a snap of the photo of vermicelli noodle, seaweed & soy sauce that I've bought yesterday at Korea Fair

Carrot & mushroom cut into slice

Seaweed deep into hot water, slice onion, garlic & chillies. Prepare an egg.

Pan fried onion, garlic, carrot, chillies and egg

Pan fried minced meat and mushroom, season which some pepper and soy sauce

Set both aside for cook later

Last Step: Put some hot water in the pan with soy sauce, sugar and sesame oil, cook until the vermicelli become  soft (remove some of the water so it won't get too wet, it suppose to be presented dry).  Add in the cooked dishes and seaweed into the vermicelli, flavour with some sesame oil,  pepper and a little bit soy sauce and fried until even.

There you go, JapChe! Enjoy cooking! :-)

Love spread by IBMers - Never Stop In Believing, Miracles Do Happened & there's always hope! Pray for MH370 @ Day 6

Today, when I was about to go home. I saw a lot of colorful cards pasted on the glass at the guest entrance hall in IBM. As I walk near to see, it was all the wishes from IBMers to the MH370's passenger - hoping for their safe return.

My tears dropped, I'm touched... (very sentimental person). It has been 6 days and MH370 is not found yet. No news so far, some of the families are devastated, some have made up their worse mind but I want to say, nothing is not impossible - miracles do happened.

There's an IBMer on flight MH370 if you watched the news - Mr. Philip Wood. His work station was covered with swan origami made by the colleagues; some of them may knew him personally, some may not; just like me. But you can see, people/human are giving their best wishes to another, it's a very good thing to see.

Love is everywhere I can say, with the power of love I believe some how, they will all come back safe and sound. I'm waiting :)  Some said God always have his way, he will bring them back some how - believe in God, believe in miracle and never give up hope. Let us pray for the best, that is at least what we can do.
